Whatever you do, don't step on his Blue Suede Shoes! Elvis is coming to Myrtle Beach as Living Legends In Concert presents “Elvis Lives.”

This major national theatrical and musical hit has been touring the nation since 2013, but is being presented for the first time in Myrtle Beach. The production is coinciding with Elvis' 80th birthday, and it is a show to impress the most ardent Elvis fan, or the young soul who has never seen what made the King of Rock N Roll what he was. The show runs through Jan. 6, so don't miss this opportunity to see some of the best Elvis impersonators in the business.

“Elvis Lives” is a multi-media and live musical show chronicling the life of the one and only Elvis Presley. We know Elvis needs no introduction, but just so we all remember, Elvis was bigger than ANY rock star ever. His southern rock drawl laced with blues and country was groundbreaking for its time and remains a huge influence in the world of music today. Rolling Stone called him “rock & roll’s first real star, not to mention one of the most important cultural forces in history, a hip-shaking symbol of liberation for the staid America of the 1950s.” His albums are believed to have sold more than a billion copies worldwide and, according to Billboard, Elvis had 149 charting pop singles, including  114 Top 40, 40 Top Ten, and 18 Number Ones. THAT'S incredible.

And it's the basis of “Elvis Lives,” in itself a show of epic music, production values and popularity. “Elvis Lives” features winners from the annual, worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. Each tribute artist represents a different stage of Elvis' career, and these are not your run-of-the-mill, county-fair Elvis impersonators. These are literally the best in the world, including Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest winners Bill Cherry and Dean Z, along with top-five finalist Victor Trevino. The show also features principal cast for the winter/spring production of “Elvis Lives,” all top-notch performers.

The tribute artists will be joined by a live band, back-up singers and dancers, and an Ann-Margret tribute artist. The show also includes iconic imagery from Elvis' career, made available by the archives at Elvis' home, Graceland, and an exhibit of life-size images of Elvis’ stage wear that will be on display in the lobby at the Legends In Concert Theater.

“We are excited to be working with some of the most exceptional tribute artists in the world. These talented performers really capture the spirit of the King of Rock N’ Roll while evoking the sensation of being there with Elvis as he journeys through his musical career,” said Elliot Ordower, Producer for On Stage Touring, which is partnering on the show. “Elvis Lives is truly a dynamic and family friendly production. We are especially pleased to be playing at the Legends in Concert Theater in Myrtle Beach for the first time.”

Legends In Concert's state-of-the-art theater is located in the heart of Myrtle Beach at Broadway at The Beach, a unique shopping, dining and entertainment complex.  Each season at Legends In Concert features a new lineup of tributes to the best musical legends in history, delighting audiences with some of their favorite music.

“Elvis Lives” is staged with the full blessing and partnership of Memphis-based Elvis Presley Enterprises, which manages the operations of Elvis Presley’s Graceland, its related exhibits and attractions, and the Graceland archives. Those archives feature thousands of artifacts from Elvis’ home and career, some of which are represented at the “Elvis Lives” show in Myrtle Beach.
